George H asked: I am a licensed Pharmacy Technician and I work at CVS Pharmacy down in Costa Mesa, CA. I am a full time worker and get pays 15 dollar an hour. A year I get from 25k-30k a year. The payment is not as good as I thought, but I love doing what I do as a PT. So pretty much I want to change my career. I search up as a Radiology Technician. The question I want to know is does it pay more than a PT? How much a year? Is it easier than a PT? Please give me the answer I am looking for. Thank you and God Bless.

Emo B asked: And by disabled, I mean physically handicapped, although not wheelchair bound. I know that sounds like a very general question, but any ideas would be great. She’s a middle aged lady, my relative, smart, but unable to stand behind a counter (i.e. pharmacy technician, retail, etc.). She’s looking to get a career certificate, basically begin a new career, but she’s uncertain what would work for her. Not something like a secretary, though, or paralegal. Her previous career was travel-related (like a travel agency). Thanks.

Bob B. asked: If anyone would be able to fill me in that would be great. I am actually starting soon at a local Walgreens as a Pharmacy Tech. It seems to be a great place to start a career, since the baby boomers are aging and retiring. Any great opportunities after this job?

Gavin asked: I’m still only a sophomore in high school, but I’m interested in becoming a Pharmacist mostly because I’m relatively good in Science (Chemistry), and I heard the pay is really good. I wanted to get an outlook from all of the Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians out there. If you could answer some of these questions, I’d appreciate it. I’m trying to get a view from someone who has experience in this field.
What’s the difference between a Pharmacist and a Pharmacy Technician?
Do Pharmacists make more? How much more?
Do you have to take a lot of math courses?
What degree should I go for? Why?
What does a Pharmacists job consist of?
How many years of college do I need?
